Big Boy school was not a success…..

It was Jacks first day at pre school yesterday and at first he seemed fine apparently. After a while though he got very upset and just sat crying for me. I had a phonecall from them and ended up going t pick him up early. As soon as I got there he wsa fine! I think the main problem was that I had snook out without him noticing, normally if he goes anywhere this is the best way to leave, but by the looks of it, probably not the best stratagy for this situation.
We’re determined not to give up though, We’ll be going next week and Im going to spend a few minutes playing with him before saying goodbye properly and explaining that I will be back soon. Hopefully this wont be as traumatic for him.
When He was talking about school though he kept saying it had been fun, so I think up until he relaised I’d gone he’d quite enjoyed it.
Ah well, try again next monday and take it from there
Luke rebels!

All of you who know Luke know how much he loves going for naps and bedtime. well today is the first time ever that he’s cried when Ive put him in his cot for his nap. He was determined that he wasnt going to go to bed and wanted to go downstairs or in our room. This is five minutes or so after he’s asked to go for nanights and started rubbing his eyes!
I tried going up, calming him down and then putting him back in the cot but its not worked. In the end after five minutes or so of crying he’s setted and dropped off!
I thikn the problem is that he ha a bad dream or somethig yesterday at naptime and I was trying to get ready for work at the time so when he fell asleep while I was cuddling him, I lay him on the bed next to me in my room. BIG mistake! I always said I wouldnt let the kids in bed with us while they were little because I dont think they would settle and to be honest I dont think I would be able to settle properly anyway. I’d be too worried about squashing them or something.
He’s obviously now decided that Mummys bed is much more confortable because he was screaming to go in mummys room while he was protesting about his nap.
Looks like we’re in for a few rough days of tantrums and crying at bedtime! 
He’s discovered tv….

Well after two years of ignoring the TV Jack has finally succumbed to the kids TV bug.
We now have endless requests for Pat (Postman Pat) onmas (Thomas the tank engine) Ully (Monsters Inc) Train (Ivor the engine) and Obot (Robots)
Whilst I don’t mind him watching a bit of tv, it amazes me just how quickly and intensely tv programs worm their way into children’s lives!
Take last week, we went into town and had a wander round the shops, normally I can do this quite happily without Jack asking for things, but a quick trip into Woollies soon turned him into one of those tantruming children who’s parents I used to tut in annoyance at.
All for the sake of a postman pat van. Ive never seen the likes of it before from him in my life.
In the end I had to stick him under my arm, (Kicking and screaming) and carry him out of the shop whilst still pushing Luke in the pushchair.
He eventually figured out that while he’s acting like that he gets ignored and frogmarched, so he just gave in in the end.
It just makes me dread future arguments about trainers, clothing and the latest games console!!!!!!!
