Nemma’s Diary

Today is another one of those days that I will be glad to put behind me. It all started this morning when we came downstairs just as Molly was having mad half hour with Karl. The kids started getting hyper, which in turn wound her up even more and it all went downhill from there on in.

For some reason, even though its been there their entire lives, the kids have suddenly started to want to sit and play under the table. Not only do they want to sit under there, but so does Molly! Its bedlam! She runs up and tries to play, they scream, attempt to jump up and bang their heads!

After a couple of hours of feeling like I’m in the middle of Piccadilly circus on a busy day, I decided enough was enough and they could have a treat and watch The Jungle book for half an hour and have some more toast!

Cue a nappy change again for Luke. When Ive taken his nappy off he has the reddest bum EVER! He’s obviously had something yesterday that had lots of lactose in it (God knows what!) and its upset his stomach. Ive had to almost pin the poor kid to the sofa while Ive cleaned him up, and put metanium cream on it. I honestly don’t know how it gets so bad so quickly! I had changed his nappy an hour earlier!

He’s so worked up bless him that Ive had to mix him some formula and stick him some calpol in it to try and Bring his temp down (Another sure sign that its his lactose intolerance flaring up) and stuck him in bed. He’s now snoring his little head off with his bum stuck up in the air so his legs don’t rub on it too much while he’s asleep.

I think its going to be a long day today. I hope to god he outgrows this intollerancy because its becoming increasingly difficult to find foods suitable for him. Poor Kid!
