Ive just taken Jack up to his bedroom for some “quiet time” upstairs and he’s stumbled as we were walking in. He stood straight up, and said ouch “My knackers hurt now!”
Dont you just love the phrases they pick up at nursery???????
Also Lukes toilet training at the minute. I was half paying attention to him earlier and half to what I was doing in the kitchen so when he announced he’d done a poo to me, I remined him not to “forget to wipe between your bum cheeks!”
Luckily I managed to stop him wiping his face at the last second! lol
We’re trying out the big boy pants….

Jacks letter of acceptance for nursery has come through this week so Im really pushing the whole potty training thing. He will be starting in September and going in the mornings. I still cant believe he’s big enough to go to school! Although, he’s three this week. He’s been waking up every morning and asking if its his “Appy Birfday” today. I keep trying to explain that its lots more sleeps yet.
Anyway, Back on topic, He’s been using the potty at home for months and we’ve tried him out and about in pants a couple of times but he’s not quite been ready.
This week Ive bitten the bullet and been and bought him a little portable potty that folds up and has little bags with a liner that soaks up the wee and stops it smelling. We’ve also been and bought some new pants (Thomas ones) He picked them himself so he felt really grown up. Every time we’ve been out Ive asked him before leaving if he needs to use his potty, and nine times out of ten he doesnt, but just incase of any accidents I got Karl to order some little seat pads that will go into his car seat and soak anything up.
On the first day we tried it, he was in the car and asked me to go to the toilet. Luckily we were about two minutes away from where Karls mum works, so we nipped in to see her. He was really good and waited till we got to the toilet. He got a cake for being a big boy from Mama too so was very happy!
I think in the last week we’ve p[robably had two or three accidents, and two of them have been when he’s been having his nap and has taken his nappy off without me knowing.
So all in all Im really pleased with him! He’s very proud of himself too and keeps telling everyone that he has new big boy pants on! hehe.
Only problem now is that all of his trousers fall down because his nappy isnt padding him out round the bum anymore! lol
Potty Training for two please!!!!!

Last week I bought Jack a thomas the Tank Engine Potty training chart. We’d started training him a few months ago, but it had ground to a halt a little bit with the arrival of Molly Puppy. After all, the last thing we needed was bits being bitten lol. Try explaining that one in casualty!!!!!!!
Anyway, its been a roaring sucess! Within five minutes of it arriving Jack had used his potty, then again about half an hour later!
Luke being Luke and being a clever little so and so, quickly cottened onto the fact that Jack got loads of praise for using hi potty and stickers too.
So,,,,, a couple of days ago, he proudly came running over and asked to use the potty. humouring him I took his nappy off and stuck him on it.
I almost dropped to the floor when he proudly stood up and announced that he’d “done wee wee”
19 months old and he’s ready for potty training!
He’s used it twice today, so we’ve used the back of Jacks chart (Thank god its two sided) and been sticking him stickers on every time he’s used it.
Im so proud of both my little men! Jack seems more interested and enthusiastic this time, and Im sure that the healthy dose of compettion is helping too.
Tonight it was very strange walking into the living room and seeing both boys plonked on potts. As you can ee from the photo below, Jacks approach is slightly more relaxed than Lukes! hehe
