And despite waiting an hour and a half AFTER our appointment time (AGAIN!) It all went well!
He went a week last tuesday ago and yesterday I got back home and there was a letter asking me to call and make his appointment to have his gromits put in…
He goes in on December 5th! So in less than 5 weeks we’ve had his hearing test and it will be done and dusted hopefully! I really hope it makes a difference for him. Just recently I’ve noticed he’s been asking us to repeat ourselves more and more often. (Although he does sound cute when he says “Sorry??” instead of pardon lol)
It will be nice for him to go to disco’s and what have you and not complain that its hurting his ears etc.
Im just not looking forward to the actual day!

Four Bloody hours Ive been sat in A&E today! Lukes dropped something on his foot and with the speed it turned purple at, added to the fat that it was swollen and he wouldnt stand on it, I decided a trip to casualty was needed.
It took me forty minutes to park, then I sat for another hour Just waiting to see the triage nurse!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear to god Kings Mill Hospital gets worse and worse, the thing that really gets my goat is that the triage nurse is sat nattering away with her door open while us idiots are sat there waiting! Then we had to wait another hour and a half to see a doctor so he could tell us the inevitable, “He needs xrays!” Wow, the mans a genious! Give him a medal! Why the triage nurse couldnt decide this I’ll never know!
Another half an hour in xray, lots of screaming from a very upset Luke and we head back off to casualty for another hour while they look at his xrays.
Might I add that during the last hour we were there I had to go change Luke, to do this I had to go into the back of the treatment area to get to baby changing. Sat there drinking coffee and reading books were 4 nurses, and two doctors! One of the doctors was muttering about being disturbed and having to put his book down as we came back through.
Welcome to the NHS people!
If I could afford it, we’d definatly go private! mainly so we could get away from the incompetance of the morons calling themself medical staff at that place!
Conclusion in the end?
Luke has a bruised foot. His xrays have come back clear luckily. So forthe pleasure of 10 minutes treatment, we’ve sat in a not very overcrowded waiting room waiting for four hours!!!!!!!!!
