Ok so its that time of the year again. I know its a little early but we’ve been to a local garden centre today to find a nice christmas display to wander round and put us in the mood… (The one we chose was very dissapointing but thats another story)

Ive just taken Jack up to his bedroom for some “quiet time” upstairs and he’s stumbled as we were walking in. He stood straight up, and said ouch “My knackers hurt now!”
Dont you just love the phrases they pick up at nursery???????

Also Lukes toilet training at the minute. I was half paying attention to him earlier and half to what I was doing in the kitchen so when he announced he’d done a poo to me, I remined him not to “forget to wipe between your bum cheeks!”
Luckily I managed to stop him wiping his face at the last second! lol

Jack has suddenly discovered a whole new little world that exists completely in his head.

In this world there is a little Jack (and Ditchy and Blane) sized house in one corner of my Middle Room. This house has an up and downstairs, needs lots of deshtation (decorating to us mere English speaking mortals), has a gate (an old safety gate) and houses enough different vehicles of one sort or another to make even the most flashy of cribs stars jealous!
At the last count there was a train, a motorbike, a car and even an aeroplane AND a helicopter!!!!!!

This house can also be packed up and moved to whatever location Jack is in at the current time, and the cars etc are summoned just by thinking about them.

Jack has various visitors throughout the day although regular visitor’s include aunty vicky, D and Unca Blane. Luke is allowed to play in there too although I don’t think he has quite the same enthusiasm yet.

Dinner is served whenever you want and normally consists of pasta followed by Jam on toast and a good glass of the finest Juice asda has to offer.

So in summary, I think we can safely say that Jacks imagination is now in overdrive and he keeps us all entertained listening to him natter away to his latest guests…….

I wish I was 2 again so I could live in whatever house I wanted!!!!!!!

Ive just fed the kids thier breakfast and afterwards joked to Jack that I would have to hoover him down to get rid of all the crumbs off his pj top.

At this point he’s started panicing and asking for his nappy back on.

When I asked him why he replied

“Not want hoover willie!!!!!!” with a big frown on his face! lol

God knows where he got that from!!!!!!!!

Jacks just shouted through to me that his spoon wont work anymore.

Whilst trying not to laugh at him, I asked him why it wouldnt work.

After much exasperated hand throwing and shouting of “It’s not workin Mummy!” along with facial expressions that made it batently obvious he thought I was a wally, I got him to show me why it wouldnt work.

turns out that he couldnt quite spoon up the last bit of milk from his cereal!

ha!

Typical Man! Blame the tools not yourself! lol

I think I’m going to have to watch what I say around Jack a lot more now.

We’re having a particularly stroppy morning today. He’s arguing with me and himself about wearing a nappy. (He wants one on and I’m saying no way.) Anyway, he’s just walked over, shut the lid on the potty, smacked the lid and shouted, “For god’s sake!!!”

How do you teach a child who’s speech therapy includes copying what mummy and daddy say, not to copy mummy and daddy? lol
