I’ve just almost told Jack off for saying “mummy Twat”……….
Then it suddenly dawned on me he was saying Mummy Trac as in Train track.
Just one of the long list of words I have to listen twice to at the minute. Such as the other day when he walked up to me saying “Urgh dirty minger!” In fact he meant he had a dirty finger lol
Made me chuckle anyway!
Kite’s, Splashes and Puppy Dog’s!

Yesterday we decided to go to Rufford Park. I took the kids with Vicky last week and we noticed there was a kite festival on so decided to take a quick look.
After finally meeting up with Vicky, Troy and Stacey (Karl’s car was fixed sooner than we though so he decided to come with us at the last minute, meaning we were a little bit late) We got to rufford, Parked up and had a wander over to the ford to watch the cars coming through it. Jack was suitably impressed. Stood there shouting “splash” whenever something went through it and squealed whenever he almost got splashed himself.
After watching that for a while we wandered over to the “Kite festival”
Wasn’t that impressive to be honest. I would have expected a couple of demonstrations. Instead were a few people stood in one field ignoring members of the public and a stall giving you the chance to make your own kite (where everyone was also ignoring the public and doing their best to pretend we weren’t there). The only person who seemed vaguely interested in the public being there was the bloke who had a stall selling kites!
Kids enjoyed it though. they did a few Roley poly’s down the mini haha’s (Long story will explain the history behind that nickname another time) and generally had a run and wobble about. we saw my cousin Keeley, Her husband Clive and their two little boys Jacob and Callum.
We had a wander round for an hour hour and a half and then headed back to the car. At this point it was decided that we’d go through the ford ” for Jack and Luke’s sake” (In other words, so Karl could have a laugh too)
Troy and Stacey had left a couple of minutes earlier and just as we were leaving the car-park Stacey rang to say they had done the same thing and Troy had soaked a child stood at the side of the river lol.
we went through it twice, Jack squealing as we did so and after coming through the second time I noticed a rattle at the back of the car. Karl said I was imagining it (Or words to that effect). It was only halfway to Sarah’s that the “Imaginary rattle” made itself known again.
We pulled over and checked the car over only to discover that the force of the water under the car had forced the back bumper off at the bottom! (So much for imagining it!)
After bodging it up we headed off to see Millie Moo and her new pups. Millie had had three pups during the afternoon but Sarah thought that she had finished delivering as it had been such a long time since the last pup had been born.
After about an hour or so of us being there she suddenly started pushing and another arrived!!!!!!! I think this made Karls day lol. we left after a couple of hours as the house was hectic and the kids were starting to get tired. In the end Millie has had 9 gorgeous pups!
They are a lovely chocolate brown colour. Unfortunately one little girl didn’t make it through the night, she was born struggling to breathe but amazingly Millie bought her round.
She was quite poorly though and when I spoke to Sarah this morning she said he hadn’t made it. Such a shame, but same as Sarah said, at least Millie managed to bring her round for a few hours.
We’ve decided to bite the bullet and have a pup. The kids are old enough to understand now whats going on, and we’d already decided to get rid of the carpet in the living room and swap it back to laminate ready for selling the house. I’m quite looking forward to it really! We know that Millie is a lovely dog, so we know the history and temperament behind the pup. Im only working evenings at the minute too so am in most of the day.
